Note To All Clubs

At a meeting on 10/6/10 the committee have decided the following: 1. Due to 11 new clubs coming into the league next season and us having 4 full divisions we will be starting the 2010/11 season on 05/9/10. 2. I will be compiling the fixtures for Sept & Oct on the first week in August and they will be published by the end of that week via website and newsletter. IF ANY CLUBS WANT A FREE DATE (NO GAME ALLOCATED) FOR ANY SUNDAY IN SEPT OR OCT TELL ME BY 31/7/10. IF YOU CONTACT ME TO SAY YOU WANT A FREE WEEK AFTER THEY ARE PUBLISHED THE ANSWER WILL BE 'NO' AND YOU WILL FORFEIT THE GAME AND WILL BE FINED 3. I will be allocating fixtures to all 4 divisions every week up to xmas to try and avoid the weather created fixture backlog we have suffered the last 2 seasons. This will obviously mean you will not get a league allocated referee every week. If you do not have a referee you cannot cancel the game, if you do the game will be declared void, both clubs will get nil points and be fined for non fulfillment. 4. All teams wishing to enter the PODD Trophy. These fixtures will be allocated on the weeks where the County Junior Cup & Trophy are due to be played. The aim is to get this competition to the final stage by xmas and the final played early in the New Year. These measures will be open for debate at the AGM on 29/6/10 which ALL CLUBS must attend. Match Reports for the 30th May 2010

DIVISION 1; Gallow finished the season on a high against Bridge Street in an entertaining game of attacking football, they won 6-3 and both teams could have had 10 each, there were shot's coming in from all angles from both teams it was like the blitz, even the ref had a hard hat on(that was a joke), Martin Mixture scored the first goal after a couple of minute's, Gallow then went 2 up through super striker Elliot Walker and Ben Parker, Lewis Wotton added a 3rd for Gallow before Elliot Walker scored again for 4-1, Dan Rising hit the Hearts second goal just before half time, the second half was as enjoyable and Jamie Francis and Ben Parker got Gallow's 5th and 6th goals, Bridge Street scored again through Dan Rising to make the final score 6-3, the game was played between two good passing sides and enjoyed by everyone. M&G went down 2-1 against Burntwood in a close game, Sam Spyrou opened the scoring for M&G, then Burntwood equalised through John-Paul Sullivan, at 1-1 Burntwood were awarded a penalty and manager Mark Turner stepped up to the mark but he failed to score from the spot, late in the game Richard Hewlett scored the winner for Burntwood, Paul Reilly refereed the game at short notice and the game was played in a sporting manner. DIVISION 3; Woodham beat Ravens 4-1 and Ravens goal was scored by Gav Toms, the Radars goal scorer's not known at time of going to press. On behalf of the committee we wish everyone a great summer and hope to see most of you at the dinner on 4th June 2010.

5 a Side Tournament 2010

We were planning to hold this tournament at Broomfield on 13th June but have now been advised that the venue will be unavailable due to the Parish Council carrying out repair work on the pitches throughout the summer. We have therefore had to cancel the tournament this year but will resume again next year.

MessageTo All Clubs

If you dont have a referee it is not good cause to postpone a game. If there is no ref appointed you MUST arrange a referee between yourself and the opposition team.. Please do not call me and ask if you can postpone the match. You cannot postpone a game because you dont have a referee, If you do the committee are likely to award the game against you and FINE YOU for non fulfillment of a fixture. Trevor Williams, Fixture Secretary.

Clubs requesting a Fixture Free Sunday

Any club requesting a free Sunday, ( before fixtures are issued), should put their request IN WRITING to Trevor Williams the Fixtures Secretary from now on. Telephone requests will not be considered.
